Fresh air purifier? WebSandiego.org (no points PLO) and mailing list is alive, which sprouted in March this year [1999] with about 30 people and up to 130 people at that time [October 1999, now close to 200]. In last month we have added at least 20 new people. We have students, programmers, designers, scientists, writers, managers, recruiters, human resources, people, experts database - hobbyists, volunteers and everything in between. WebSanDiego.org is one idea - no interesting people and their ideas, not a list. Moreover, it is not any one thing - it is not just a way of finding a job - not only as a good opportunity to receive technical corrections - not just a place for news - not only as a place for potential customers. It is all these things at once. But above all it must be human space for people to teach, talk and live and learn. This is quite grandiose, I know - and I sometimes forget that this is “only one mailing list - because I am very strastno around this idea of community. Implementation of the meeting with names in context, this validates that feeling for me.
WebSanDiego is unmoderated, if you adhere to standard netiquette interest and have directed the Internet, you are welcome to join. All opinions are welcome. Anyone can post. The “best, this leads to non-cooperation, leading to personal and professional growth. San Diego has a reputation as sleepy town. When I was still in LA, I said one my acquaintance that I was moving here. It is truly interesting life. He told me to “be watching - place’ll, which kill your motivation - it’s very pretty - will be just vazhishtavah climate and Truck waves.” There is that bit, but look at everything else down here. Internet is great. Internet is big in San Diego. We have mp3.com, WebSideStory, strive portals and CollegeClub Edupoint, international companies such as iXL. Technology companies such as enonymous.com, bidland.com, QuickenMortgage.com. And of course there are many web development houses, serving San Diego, which are at least partially represented here. If you choose at every Sunday Union Tribune will find web work of any kind. Programmers, designers, traders. Having say that I think I must sound as part of trade … it just bothers me that so much is happening here in San Diego, but has no knowledge of it. Part of my goal for WebSanDiego is to open eyes, and to allow the network. We work in an exciting field at an interesting time. As far as I can not see it, the Internet changes everything, and I intend to WebSanDiego be along for the ride.
